| ON BEHALF OF THE GENERAL SECRETARY |
 |
While taking admission in this college, I did not know what my potentials were. Being an introvert in school, my first opportunity or I can say a kick-start to be an extrovert was given by my college, SIES. |
I clearly remember my first Traditional Day in our college. My friends pushed me to participate in it. Walking in front of hundreds of people was the fear topping my list. But the faculty support and encouragement from my college mates seeded the extrovert in me. |
Being in our college, it’s difficult to stay away from activities and academics. They go hand in hand. The kind of opportunities and exposure our college provides for the students, is truly aspiring and commendable. |
With every activity I’ve participated in, I’ve always learnt something new and important, which has made me a better person and also prepared professionally. To cite a few are Eloquence (BMS Festival), Visions (College Festival), Prayog (Educational Fair) and M! (BMS Tabloid). |
Being the General Secretary has been the highlight of my life in SIES. I’ve learnt something beyond books. As 2009-2010 was the Golden Jubilee Year, it gave me the opportunity to represent our college in various activities within and outside college. The feeling of giving something back, though very miniscule in comparison to what I’ve received, was overwhelming. I hope these opportunities keep coming my way and my relation with SIES never ends. |
So it’s upon what you wish to make out of your experience in SIES, either “A Part of your Life” or “A Way of your Life”. |
Dhairya M. Kajaria,
General Secretary TY BMS |
